Steepleton SID (Speed Indicator Device)

Vandalism to our new SID : Along with three other SID sites in Dorset, our SID was vandalised on Monday or Tuesday 9/10th May 2022. The battery box was forced open and the stout SS band cut to allow the thieves to steal the battery. We have reported the incident to Dorset Police and would welcome any sightings etc around that the above dates. We are indebted to Dorset Council SID team who replaced the battery and repaired the enclosure with two SS bands on the same day that the damage was discovered.
