NB : All councillors had to stand down for the elections held on 2nd May 2024. However, we are pleased to report that all the existing councillors have had their nominations accepted and as the posts are uncontested, they were re-instated at the May PC meeting. Due to an increase in population, there are now 4 councillors in Abbas making a total of 7. 

The parish council is strictly non political.

Parish Clerk  :                    Richard Crumbleholme 

NB : As Mr R Crumbleholme was formerly a councillor (from 2004 - 2023) and is now appointed as the clerk, he was not permitted to draw a salary for 2023/2024. 

Mr Stephen Slade who was clerk since 1973 has now retired after some 50 years of service to our local communities. The Parish Council thanks him most sincerely for all his efforts, local knowledge and good guidance over the years.
