NB : All councillors had to stand down for the elections held on 2nd May 2024. However, we are pleased to report that all the existing councillors have had their nominations accepted and as the posts were uncontested, they were re-instated at the May 2024 PC meeting. Due to an increase in population, there are now 4 councillors in Abbas making a total of 7. Their term of office is 4 years.

David Taylor (Abbas)

David Taylor is a co-opted governor of our local school (Winterbourne Valley First School) and represents and offers support from the Parish Council. 

He is also the designated councillor to carry out the Internal Control Procedure in May and November of each year.

Parish Clerk  :                    Richard Crumbleholme 

Mr Stephen Slade who was clerk since 1973 has now retired after some 50 years of service to our local communities. The Parish Council thanks him most sincerely for all his efforts, local knowledge and good guidance over the years.
