Winterbourne Valley First School

Winterbourne Valley First School is located on the A35 in Winterbourne Abbas. It is a diocese controlled school with approximately 75 pupils. It is in a 3 tier educational arrangement with pupils progressing to a middle school (generally Dorchester Middle School) before finally attending the Thomas Hardye School in Dorchester to complete their education up to "A" level standards if they wish.

From 2025, the Parish Council has one of its councillors as a co-opted governor (David Taylor) . We hope that this will enable the Parish Council to have closer links with our school and enable us to give support where we can.
