Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL). A fixed non negotiable charge calculated per square metre of new floorspace used to fund wider, strategic community infrastructure. The Parish Council can apply for CIL funding to meet various community projects.
Section 106 - is a legally binding agreement between the local planning authority (ie Dorset Council) and a developer. It secures financial and non-financial contributions to offset the local impacts of new building projects. This funds the CIL funding.
