Steepleton SID (Speed Indicator Device)

Vandalism to our new SID : Along with other SID sites in Dorset, our SID was vandalised in June 2024. The battery box was forced open and the stout SS band cut to allow the thieves to steal the battery.  However the SID has been upgraded with a strong metal box with two padlocks and a protectrive screen at the front. 

Our SID is solar powered and works well throughout the year

We have had a solar powered vesrion from new !
