The Parish Council owns and insures :

Bus shelters - one in Winterbourne Abbas and one in Winterbourne Steepleton. 

Timber bench seats : one on the village green in Winterbourne Abbas and one on land opposite the bus shelter in Winterbourne Steepleton.

NB Both shelters and seats have been fully repaired and redecorated - completed July 2023

Steepleton Speed Indicator Device (SID) : This was installed in March 2022 and consists of two mounting poles in the village with solar panels and one SID device which is moved between the two poles by village volunteers every 6 weeks. This installation was funded by the National Grid Community Programme via the Winterbourne Steepleton Charity and will become the property of the parish council who will maintain and insure it.

Defibrillator : In December 2022, the National Grid donated a defibrillator to the Parish Council. We have been permitted to site this at the Winterbourne Abbas Filling Station/Garage. It has been installed and placed on "the circuit" national database. The Parish Council will maintain and insure this unit - it will be available 24/7.
