Bus Service Reinstatement

Winterbourne Steepleton and Martinstown have been without a bus service for several years despite the X51 service still running along the A35 from Dorchester to Winterbourne Abbas and Bridport and beyond.

A bus survey was undertaken by Les Scarth in 2022 and submitted to Dorset Council. In Februray 2024 with the assistance of our local MP Chris Loder, there is a possibility that a trial reinstatement will take place during the summer of 2024.
