The SID will pick up vehicles from quite a distance & hopefully encourage drivers to reduce their speed to 30mph or below when the SID will flash "Thank You"

At long last our Winterbourne Steepleton Speed Indicator Device (SID) is operational !

Dorset Council erected this on 3rd March 2022 after various long set backs. Our team of volunteers will shortly be trained so that they can re-site the SID every 6 weeks between the two location poles.  See link

South Winterbourne Stream through Steepleton has now been cleared as usual and we are very hopeful that National Highways (formerly Highways England) will be clearing the stream through Abbas in the future.

Dorchester Community Support Group : There is a very useful and comprehensive list of local services and shops offering delivery and click and collect only in the Dorchester area (created by the Dorchester Community Support Group and Dorchester Town Council).
